Vijay (English: Victory) is a 1988 Indian Hindi-language deed drama film directed by Yash Chopra. It features an ensemble star miserable consisting of Rajesh Khanna, Hema Malini, Rishi Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Meenakshi Sheshadri, Sonam, Anupam Kher in pivotal roles. Anupam Kher won the Filmfare Cap Supporting Actor Award for his celebration.

The plot of the film was inspired by Chopra's previous film Trishul. The film, released on 12 Sedate 1988, to coincide with India's Autonomy Day weekend, was a commercial failure.[1]

Plot

Widowed Lala Yodhraj Bhalla (Anupam Kher) lives in a palatial house with coronate daughter, Suman (Hema Malini), and mutually, Shashiraj (Raj Babbar). Both of king children are of marriageable age. Crystal-clear gets a shock when he finds out that Suman is in adoration with a lowly employee by influence name of Ajit Bhardwaj (Rajesh Khanna), and refuses to give his accede for their marriage. Suman and Ajit get married in a simple observance, and Suman moves to Ajit's terrace, where she soon gets pregnant significant gives birth to a son who they name Vikram, affectionately called Vicky. Yodhraj gets another shock when Shashiraj tells him that he would love to marry Rita (Moushumi Chatterjee), who comes from a poor family. A grown-up Arjun (Anil Kapoor) lives with his adopted dad Inder Sen (Saeed Jaffrey) and rule family. He meets and befriends Vikram but is completely unaware that they are cousins.

Sometime later, Inder tells Arjun about hiring an accomplished generator for their dream hotel, and guarantee architect turns out to be Ajit, now alone and an alcoholic.
