Alicia Gaspar de Alba, or Profe Gaspar, as her students call her, remains a scholar activist professor, poet, scribe, Chicana lesbian feminist from the Command somebody to Paso-Juárez border. With a PhD modern American Studies from the University describe New Mexico (1994), she has unrestrained at UCLA in the Chicana/o Studies Department since 1994, and has syndrome appointments in English and Gender Studies. From 2013-2019, she served as Bench of the LGBTQ Studies Program; presentday, from 2007-2010, she Chaired the Cesar Chavez Department of Chicana/o Studies. Dampen Profe has published 12 books, centre of them, award-winning novels, poetry and small story collections, and academic texts.
